Welcome to the home of Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association!The Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association was established in 1965 and has been affiliated with Babe Ruth Baseball and Babe Ruth Softball Organizations from the beginning. The association is a charitable, volunteer organization designed to provide a positive environment for the development of sportsmanship, athletic skills and character. We operate programs for youth between the ages of 4 and 15 in baseball, softball, buddy ball and basketball. These programs are managed in accordance with guidelines set forth by national and international youth sports organizations. This organization serves the youth of Glen Allen and West Richmond, Virginia. Annual Golf Tournament Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association is holding their 2nd annual Golf Tournament on Friday, May 18, 2012 at The Hollows Golf Course. Baseball & Softball Boundaries Any player registering for GAYAA baseball or softball for the 2012 season must provide a home address that is within one of the following elementary school boundaries when they register:
If your child lives within the elementary school boundary for any other elementary school, they would need to have played baseball or softball for GAYAA during the spring 2008 season in order to be grandfathered in our association. If you played during this time, but left for any reason, then you lost your grandfathered status.
Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association is committed to enforcing the boundaries that are set forth by Babe Ruth League.

Glen Allen Day at Dick's Sporting Goods Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association is proud to be working with Dick's Sporting Goods again this spring to bring discounts to our members. The Appreciation Day for Glen Allen will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Short Pump Town Center store only. The discounts will be for most baseball and softball items. Umpires - Baseball 2012 If you are an adult or 13 years of age or older on or before January 1, 2012, then you can become an umpire at Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association. If you are interested in being considered for umpire positions, please register online as you do to play a sport. Doug Hynes, Director of Umpires, will then have the ability to communicate with everyone through the registration system.
Deadline to register is February 15, 2012. Buddy Ball Baseball Glen Allen's Buddy Ball program is now registering players for the upcoming spring baseball season. This program is FREE. Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth Bat Rules 2012 Babe Ruth headquarters has announced the bat rules for both Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth baseball divisions. To view these rules, please go to the link on the left hand side of page and click on Baseball Bat Rules 2012.
Jack Bourne Park Effective immediately, the baseball complex on Brookley Road will be referred to as Jack Bourne Park. On the upcoming baseball schedules for 2012 you will see JB1, JB2, JB3 and JB4. The fields are still numbered the same; however, we will refer to them as Jack Bourne Park and not Brookley Road.
